Cara Gee: A Rising Star in Showbiz

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Cara Gee was born in Ontario and raised on Six Nations of the Grand River. She graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 2008.

After graduating, Gee had small parts in various films and television shows prior to landing her breakout role as Camina Drummer on the Syfy series "The Expanse" in 2015.

Breakthrough and Recognition

Gee's performance in "The Expanse" garnered critical acclaim, earning her a Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series.

She has since starred in several other television series, including "Frontier", "Handmaid's Tale", and the upcoming "The Man in the High Castle" spin-off, "The White Tower".

Personal Triumphs

Gee is a passionate advocate for Indigenous representation in the film and TV industry. She has co-founded the Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance and the Indigenous Screen Office.

In 2021, she was appointed to the Order of Canada for her contributions to the Canadian entertainment industry and her work in advancing Indigenous representation.

Current Projects and Future Prospects

Gee is currently starring in the second season of "The White Tower" and will appear in the upcoming film "Wild Indian".

She is also developing several projects through her production company, Red Maiden Productions, which she co-founded with her husband.
