Amidst the growing #MeToo movement, three senior IPS officers have been suspended over allegations of ‘harassing’ actor-model Kadambari Jethwani.

The officers, who have been identified as senior police officers R.K. Sharma,Arun Bothra and Alok Kumar, have been accused of harassing Jethwani while she was staying at a hotel in Ghaziabad.

Reports indicate that Jethwani had filed a complaint of harassment against the three accused officers at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad.

What triggered the suspension?

The incident is said to have occurred late on Sunday night - between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. on May 29th.

It is alleged that the three officers had gone to Jethwani's hotel room in the early hours of Monday morning and harassed her.

According to the complaint, the officers had allegedly demanded sexual favors from Jethwani, and when she refused, they threatened her with dire consequences.
