Claypool was traded to the Bears by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday in exchange for a 2023 second-round draft pick. Acquisition Announced Earlier This Week
On Tuesday, Bears general manager Ryan Poles expressed his excitement about the acquisition of Claypool, stating that he believes he will be a "pivotal addition" to the team's rebuild. Claypool had a breakout season in 2020 with the Steelers, catching 62 passes for 873 yards and 9 touchdowns.
