SpaceX Starship Flight 4 Preparations Underway

Fourth Integrated Flight Test Scheduled for August

Mission to Advance Starship's Operational Readiness

SpaceX's Starship, the highly anticipated launch vehicle, is poised for its fourth integrated flight test (IFT-4). This crucial test, scheduled for August, marks a significant step in the company's ambitious program to bring Starship to operational readiness and advance its mission to enable future space exploration.

Following the successful static test firing campaigns of the Starship and its booster, both vehicles are now undergoing rigorous preparations at SpaceX's Starbase facility in Texas. The IFT-4 mission will see Starship perform a controlled ascent and descent, gathering valuable data to refine the vehicle's design and systems.

Starship has been contracted as the designated landing system for the Artemis III mission, NASA's planned lunar landing mission scheduled for September 2026. The successful completion of IFT-4 will pave the way for Starship's pivotal role in returning humans to the Moon.

The launch window for Starship Flight 4 is currently set for 8 am EDT (1200 GMT) on August 2026.
