Chase Claypool Departs Miami Dolphins
Forgettable Tenure Ends with Move to Chicago Bears
Claypool's Time in Miami Cut Short
After an unsuccessful stint with the Miami Dolphins last season, Chase Claypool has found a new home with the Chicago Bears. The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was acquired by Miami in a trade last year but failed to make a significant impact.
Claypool's time in Miami was marred by injuries and limited playing time. He appeared in just five games for the Dolphins, recording eight receptions for 77 yards and no touchdowns. The team's crowded wide receiver depth chart made it difficult for Claypool to earn consistent playing time.
Claypool's departure from Miami comes as no surprise. The Bears, who are in need of wide receiver depth, offered him a fresh start. Claypool will now have the opportunity to prove himself in a new offense and hopefully rediscover the form that made him a promising prospect with the Steelers.
