Celtics Hold Narrow Lead Over Pacers in Eastern Conference Finals

The Boston Celtics squeaked out a narrow victory in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers, winning 120 to 117.

The Pacers, who allowed an average of 1202 points per game during the regular season, fought hard but ultimately fell short as the Celtics erupted for 1206 points. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 37 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Pacers will be looking to level the series, while the Celtics will aim to extend their lead. The game will be televised on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET.
